CNTSUN won the bidding for SPS photovoltaic power station of the Musonoi project

A blazing Winter: No slowdown in project execution, strive forward with enthusiasm.

Recently, CNTSUN won the bid for SPS photovoltaic power station of the Musonoi project. With a total installed capacity 50MW, CNTSUN provides comprehensive solar mounting system solutions for the entire project. This marks CNTSUN's first photovoltaic project in Central Africa,  which is of significant strategic importance.

Located in Kolwezi, Musoni, the coordinates of the project center point are -10.69771 (latitude) and 25.46002(longitude)in the mining area. As the client prefers a hassle-free, low-maintenance operation after production starts, CNTSUN adopts a customized design using Baowu BWP750 super weathering Steel for the project. This steel offers advanced characteristics including high corrosion resistance, high-strength,quality-superiority, toughness, and safety. The weathering index of this material is 2 to 3 times higher than ordinary weathering steel, with a yield strength of ≥ 620 MPa and tensile strength of ≥ 750 MPa. Its surface hardness reaches 300 HV, providing enhanced resistance to windblown sand abrasion. Due to its superior performance compared to hot-dip galvanized and zinc-aluminum-magnesium coatings, the super weathering steel can be used directly without additional coating in C1-C3 environments, reducing environmental pollution, carbon emissions, and energy consumption from related processes. This material choice ensures the photovoltaic project’s reliability and durability over its full 25-year lifecycle, guaranteeing long-term quality and performance with minimal maintenance needs.
